The
Bombay Flying Club is the only flying club in the world which
undertook in the early thirties a cross country international
flight from
Bombay
to
London
and back, flying Tiger Moth single engine aircraft.
Late Shree
J.R.D. TATA the father of civil aviation in
India
was the first to obtain the A pilot’s licence in February,
1929 from the Bombay Flying Club.
A
member of the club R Levy indigenously manufactured an aircraft
which was named Monsoon successfully flew over 50 hours and was
later grounded due to certain reasons.
Another
good member Rev. Father Constantine was the first person to fly
an illuminated aircraft at night for advertisement purpose at
Bombay
.
The
Bombay Flying Club did very valuable work during the Second
World War by training the young IAF pilots, some of the best
pilots, the country have produced for Air
India
, Indian Airlines and Air Force did their basic training here.
A
tiger Moth and sentinel L-5 aircraft belonging to the Bombay
Flying Club were used for the first time for aero touring of Poona, This initiative of The Bombay Flying Club is still unbeaten.
We

indicate it as a premier aviation institute among the flying
clubs of

The
Bombay Flying Club is based at the western end Juhu aerodrome
which is approximately at the center of the Mumbai city.
The
Bombay Flying Club has been purpose built to standards of
comfort, convenience which surpass other training centers and
provide each student wit an adequate space they need to focus on
their studies in all respect The Bombay Flying Club, is renowned
for its professionalism. Bombay Flying Club has trained aircrew
now working as Captains, Engineers flight and crew for domestic
